Of course it was more of a working holiday, if you want to call it that as we were both looking for our dream home, and being filmed at the same time, but, we still had to eat after a hard days work! Pescara is a small city, but it's large enough to get lost in and there are lots of culinary delights to try. We were blessed to be staying right in the centre, so we were spoiled for choice when it came to trying the food that was available there. The street art was also really cool, and I must admit, I'm not usually a city girl, but I enjoyed the charm of Pescara. It was busy, but not over whelming.
John really loves sea-food, and as we both live near the sea in England, sea-food kind of feels like home to us. I think that's why Pescara was so enjoyable for us, It's like a warmer version of home! With a lot of fish dishes to try, we really were spoiled for choice. You can grab fresh Oysters for only 3 Euros per piece, grilled Octopus as a simple side dish and seared tuna steak for an extremely reasonable price, including the wine...

There are many dishes and many restaurants to try in this area, and so I've only highlighted a few. All are worthy of a try. Italians take great pride in their food and so you can guarantee that each dish is created with pride and care. A few places that we tried in Pescara, and there were ones that really stood out to us. The Fish Market Bistro, served a selection of dishes, with fresh Oysters and a whole array of delicious sea-food to try.

Another favourite was Enoteca Centrale, which had an amazing selection of wines, and very friendly staff. There menu was a fresh selection of foods which change daily, I believe but the grilled Octopus was exquisite. They also served us wine that went with each dish, and taught us a thing or two about wine. I love how much thought they put into the minute details here. It's absolutely worth a visit if you enjoy wine with your fish!
